When I was a child my favorite children's book was Green Eggs and Ham By Dr. Seuss. I remember when I was little my Grandfather would read Green Eggs and Ham to Calm me down. It was one of the only books he ever read to me and is very sentimental to me. I remember a little creature named Sam trying to get this guy to try green eggs and ham. Sam annoyed the guy by following him everywhere and asking him if he would try green eggs and ham wherever he went. The guy always said he hated green eggs and ham. Finally the guy gave in to Sam and tried green eggs and ham and found out he liked it. I remember pictures of the places that Sam followed the guy to like on a train, in a car, on a plane, and in the dark. There was also a picture of the guy trying the green eggs and ham.
Green Eggs and Ham By Dr. Seuss was on of my favorite books because it brought my grandfather and I closer together when I was a child. My grandpa always made sure he had the book when he would see me so we were guarantied to have something we could do together. Green Eggs and Ham is the main reason I was so close to my grandpa. I now keep a copy of Green Eggs and Ham on a shelf in my bedroom where I can see it. Every once and a while I will take Green Eggs and Ham off the shelf and reread it when I miss my grandfather. I tend to read it when I am stressed, in a bad mood, or just need a break from reality and let all of my worries slip away.
