Blog #9 Antigone
In life there are very few things I would sacrifice for. Dying for something is a very drastic and serious notion. I would not die for just anything. If my family was threatened then I would do all in my power to protect them, while also trying to preserve my life if at all possible. If someone were to pull a gun on my parents, grandparents, or brother while I was present I would try to talk them down, and if that didn't work then I would have no choice but to try and disarm them. I know that if it was necessary I would die for my family.
If the United States were to ever fall under attack I would volunteer to join the armed forces and fight those who attacked. Going overseas is a very dangerous choice. I know that if I did go overseas that I could easily get hurt or even die. I am willing to go overseas and fight because I know that in doing so I am not only defending my country, but I am also protecting my family. In my mind joining the military is a noble task that is a great way for a man to defend his family.
