Blog #11 Serial

I was not able to start Serial at the same time the class did, and have had to play catch up, but so far Serial has been a very interesting experience. It amazes me how we can listen to somebody investigate a closed case from over twenty years ago and get commentary from the officers and other people that were caught up in the case back in 1999. It is hard for me to decide whether or not Adnan is guilty because I have not heard all of the podcast, and no nothing about the case other than what I've learned in class. With that said, I do not believe Adnan is guilty because of his character and how he reacted to his breakup with Hae. After breaking up Adnan and Hae remained friends. Adnan also was friends with Don, Hae's new boy friend. I think that Jay either killed Hae or play a major roll in her murder because he was able to tell the police the location of her car. Blog #10 Justice system

In the Judicial system there are two sides, the defense or the accused, and the plaintiff or person pressing charges. When somebody commits a crime they have to go to court and a jury or group 6 to 12 people who decide whether or not the person is guilty. Each side has a lawyer who represents them and can question the anybody they want, and provide evidence that can help solve the case. The defense lawyer is the person who represents the person the charges are being brought upon. Their goal is to prove the defendant is innocent and/or get the defendant a shorter prison term. Then there is the prosecuting attorney who cares for the plaintiff and helps prove the defendant is guilty. lastly there is the judge, the person who helps keep order in the courtroom and has the authority to charge people who get out of control in the courtroom. The judge is like the Referee in a football game. In the Constitution it states that you are innocent until proven quilty in the court of law. This mean...
